Computational physics and engineering

The most effective and time efficient solutions to engineering challenges often require computational engineering and simulation. This approach can explore issues that cannot be practically solved by testing for a variety of reasons including cost, time and scope. It also provides reassurance and compliments ongoing physical testing and validation while increasing knowledge of the off-design envelope.

We regularly conduct simulation studies using CFD, PIC plasma dynamics and radiation transport codes in addition to 1D, quick engineering tools. In addition, we use many pre- and post-processing tools for visualisation and CAD tools for meshing and design.
